  • Use the latest in GHG estimation techniques and widely accepted quantification protocols to meet users reporting needs.
  • Footprint Audit
  • Act as a third-party reviewer to audit GHG inventories in order to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Report Development
  • Create comprehensive reports of GHG inventory for internal and external use.
  •
    Goal Setting
  • Work with stakeholders to develop achievable quantitative and qualitative goals around GHG emissions.

    CASE STUDY BRIEF::
    Des Moines Area Community College
    The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) retained the services of Sebesta Blomberg to quantify the college’s greenhouse gas emissions from sources such as electricity consumption, heating
    and cooling, vehicle fleet operations, business travel, waste management and daily commuting for the five campuses. We also identified and quantified emissions from smaller and more unique campus sources. The project was conducted to support the College in meeting the requirements as a signatory of the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment (ACUPCC). Utilizing currently managed data to the extent possible and working with DMACC to devise and implement new data collection methods needed for gap-filling, Sebesta Blomberg completed the GHG emissions inventory (carbon
    footprint) according to the direction of the World Resources Institute’s GHG Protocol, and the ACUPCC’s Clean Air-Cool Planet program. The quantity of GHG emissions and all estimation methods used to complete the inventory were fully documented and presented to DMACC in a final report, along with spreadsheet-based tools to help track future greenhouse gas emissions from the campus.
